As we all know, plush toys are more hand-sewn process. The sample and product similarity is determined by the subjectivity of the designer. Moreover, it often takes decades for a designer who can design the paper pattern independently. This caused a serious scarcity of experienced designers in our custom plushes industry, experienced designers are extremely hard and hire, that’s why their labor costs are also very high.
It’s often to receive new customers’ inquiries asking if our designers have the ability to independently design the pattern, or ask even if they have experience in plush toys with batteries or electronic parts.
So today I want to share with you our 3 main designers, all of whom have over 15 years of experience in the custom soft toys industry, the longest is 2 decades. In our factory, the 3 of them are responsible for different product categories and styles. For example, Japanese / Korean anime dolls styles, American mascots and some creative designs, another master is very good at European keychains and baby plush series such more sophisticated product development.
Designer #1 Our designer executive,Mrs. Liang
Liang was an extremely talented and creative designer here, she was working at Jazwares plush toys development when the first time we met, we took around 2 years to invite her to join our team.
As the leader of the team, it can be said that she has no restrictions on product design, whether it is high-end baby plush series, new product development in hypermarkets, or very demanding Japanese projects, she did a great job. In addition to such an excellent design background, she is also good at budget control. Currently, in our designing team, she is mainly responsible for product development in Japan, and Korean plush toy styles.
Designer #2 Mr Fang
Fang is also a very creative designer with subtle observation in plushies designing, his ability belongs to the top-level in our industry. Besides the textile designing major in college, Fang also owned 17 years plush toys sample making experience here. He is an expert in various mascots and plush IP characters development and designing.
These years Fang was in charge of our US market sample development, we have several “artist” and “designer” type clients who rave about his works. Similar to Liang, he was working at the TY for 10 years when we first met him. A young man but with passion and amazed insight in this field.
Designer #3 Mr Song
Unlike the first 2 designers, Song was the “oldest” one on our team, he is a well-respected person and also has a very good reputation in our stuffed toys industry.
Song and his wife ran the “plush toys designing” studio in 2001 year. At that time, Not only plush product orders, even including the entire Dongguan’s textile industry, were still in a growth stage. Most domestic factories were mainly processing, so you can imagine how rare the designer is at that moment. In 2013, Song joined us and was the first one to create the “OEM ability” for Plushtoysmfg. He was in VP position now and also was the designer in charge of our EU markets projects.
